Acceptable Use Policy

Copyright Hawk is for going after real copyright infringement. These rules keep it that way.

Last updated October 8, 2026

1. Real claims only

  • Only open cases for work you own or are authorized to enforce;
  • Give accurate facts and evidence, and tell us about any license, permission, or agreement that might apply;
  • Consider fair use, public‑domain status, and other exceptions before approving a case; and
  • Don’t use the Services to silence criticism, commentary, parody, or reviews, or to hurt a competitor with a claim you know is weak.

2. No harassment

  • No threats of criminal action, violence, or exposure, and no demands the law doesn’t support;
  • No contacting people unrelated to the use of your work, such as family members or employers;
  • No asking us to keep contacting someone after they have removed the material, shown permission, disputed the claim, or asked us to stop; and
  • No abusive, discriminatory, or deceptive language in anything you ask us to send.

3. No gaming the system

Don’t resubmit rejected claims to get around a dispute, use fake identities, automate access to the Services, scrape private accounts, bypass platform rules, or try to access other users’ data.

4. Evidence and privacy

Only upload material you have the right to share. Don’t include other people’s sensitive personal information unless it’s necessary for the case. We don’t publish accusations, run public infringement lists, or make case details searchable.

5. Enforcement

If we believe a case breaks these rules, we may decline or close it, stop outreach, and suspend or close your account. Where required, we will cooperate with platforms and law enforcement.

6. Report abuse

If you believe someone is misusing Copyright Hawk, email [support@yourdomain.com].
